What will I need to fence with the club?
If you would like to fence with us you will not require any special equipment to start, the club has everything from foils to protective gear. Each club member will be able to sign out and take home a set of club gear to bring each week to fencing.
Equipment for the Beginners Classes:
All new members who enrol in the beginners course will have free use of the clubs equipment for the length of the course.
Equipment for Regular Members:
Regular club members will be able to use and take club fencing gear home for a small fee which will cover general wear and tear on the equipment. The cost of equipment hire is $.50 per item per week, to be paid quarterly from the beginning of the training year. This works out to $30 for a men’s kit, and $36 for a women’s kit per quarter. As you replace the club items with your own it will reduce the cost, please speak to our armourer or president for help purchasing your own equipment.
1. You are responsible for the care and cleaning of you club kit.
2. If you forget to bring your kit you will not be permitted to fence. 3. All kits must be returned as soon as you stop fencing. ….(If you have a credit in hire fees the balance will be refunded.)
